Brothers

Jordan loves Evan. He is so excited to see Evan and whenever Evan is awake Jordan wants to be with him. So, here are a couple more cute pictures of our two boys.

We tried to take some family pictures today at the temple. Here's one of Erica and me with the new arrival.

And this is why we only got a few pictures with Jordan in them. He just wanted to run around and explore the whole time. He refused to sit still with us. What a stinker.

Our boys

We decided to take pictures of our cute boys today. Jordan was really happy to have Evan right next to him, and especially when he got to hold him. We are so happy that Jordan likes Evan as much as he does. He loves seeing him and being able to interact with him already. So, here are our boys.

Whenever Mike picked up Evan, Jordan patted the chair and said, "baby, baby!"

Doodlebops

Jordan doesn't watch too much tv, but he loves the Doodlebops show on Disney. As you know, Jordan LOVES dancing and the Doodlebops sing and dance on their show. Well, tonight Jordan kept handing us the remote and saying, "bops, bops". It is SO hard to resist him when he is so cute. We found out that they have a couple DVDs so Mike and Jordan headed to the store and found one of them. When Jordan saw the DVD he got so excited and started say, "bops!" and pointing to the door to go home and watch it. And, as Mike was waiting in line to pay for it Jordan kept holding it out for people to see and was saying "bops!" again. What an incredibly cute boy! He was excited to watch it when they got home and all of us had to be standing up with him and dancing.

Jordan has been having a lot of fun with Grandma Hekking this week. She started doing this with Jordan and he couldn't get enough of it.

I defy anyone to pick these pictures of Evan out of a lineup of Jordan's baby pics. He looks really similar to Jordan as a new born, and that's great, because Jordan is pretty stinkin' cute!

Bringing baby home

Erica and Evan both seem to be doing well, so we left the hospital this afternoon to bring Evan home. He is really quiet and sleepy so far. He has taken to nursing fairly quickly. Erica has had quite a bit of pain following the surgery, but is handling it well and mainly just excited to start reclaiming her body!

Evan and Jordan

Erica's mom brought Jordan to the hospital to meet his new brother on Friday afternoon. Jordan seemed a little out of sorts about the whole thing, but he warmed up.



Jordan was happy to see his mommy!



When Erica and I arrived home from the hospital today, Jordan greeted us at the door shouting "Baby! Baby!" He has been really interested in Evan and seems happy to have him at home with us. He does really well with him, except for the occasional shaking the bassonette while Evan is sleeping.

Meet Evan Jon Haderlie!

Evan was born January 11th at 10:52 AM and weighed in at 8 lbs. 4 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long.

Jordan's big boy bed!

We made up Jordan's bed so he can start taking naps on it and he was really excited to get to be on it. We'll see how the transition goes over the next month. He slept on our bed when my family was here and did really well, so here's hoping!

Boys and their toys

Here are some cute pictures of my boys with toys...

Jordan got crayons for Christmas and he gets so excited to use them. He is getting better and better and coloring, as in he knows to try to make marks on the paper.



Mike is enjoying Jordan's new blocks as much as Jordan is. He decided to make a huge tower and then Jordan got to knock it over.




Jordan got a remote control car from his uncle Jeff for Christmas. He is enjoying it!
