I was going through our pictures and videos today to burn them on CD's and found this video. This is definitely one of our favorites of Jordan. Back when we were doing Jordan's blog we couldn't upload videos like we can now. So, here he is, back when he was just 9 1/2 months old.

Happy Birthday Jordan!
He is so friendly everywhere we go he says hi to every one we pass and while we are walking out of stores he says "bye" non stop until we are out. If I get a chance, I just watch people as we pass and the majority of them smile or make comments about how cute he is. We literally can't go out somewhere without getting several comments about him.
He is so smart! When I was pregnant with him one of my greatest fears was that I would underestimate how much he can do and know. Well, he hasn't even left room for that possibility! He picks things up so fast. He knew all his letters at 18 months and by now he can count to 10, knows all the basic colors, and know all his body parts (well, the majority of them.) He is putting words together now and he is so cute when he talks. He loves learning. When he sees someone doing something that he doesn't know how to do, he just watches and tries so hard to mimic it until he can do it. He loves to dance and is trying to sing as well.
He is extremely cute! Seriously, I can't imagine a cuter kid. Not only is his appearance cute, but his personality doubles it. His enthusiasm for life really shows in everything he does. He gets out of so much trouble because of how cute he is. In nursery at chuch the leaders just laugh at him (when they would stop another child) because even when he is doing something he shouldn't, you can tell it is just because he is so excited about everything. He shouts when he is excited. For example, he shouts bubbles because he is so excited about them. And, one of the first words he would say all the time was "yeah", but in a very ethusiastic way. We could ask him anything and he would say, "yeah!" He makes us laugh every day.
He is such a good brother. He really loves Evan and has done such a good job with him already. I can tell that he is going to be great as they get older. This wasn't good, but it was still cute: At his birthday party yesterday one of the younger kids was playing with Evan's arm and Jordan went up to him and pushed his hand away so that he would leave Evan alone. He didn't understand that they were just playing, so he was trying to protect Evan. And, as soon as they are both in their car seats in the car Jordan starts trying to engage Evan in laughing and joking. He'll find what it is that day that will make Evan laugh and will do it over and over. The other day we gave him a pack of fruit snacks and he said baby and gave them to Evan. Now, that is love, for Jordan to give up fruit snacks!
He is a good son. I can't even tell you how loved we feel. He is so happy to be around us. He lights up when we enter a room. All day long he is asking for Daddy and as soon as he hears the garage door open he yells, "Daddy" and is at the door waiting. When I get him up from his naps he bounces up and down when he sees me and gives me a big hug! I love having him as my son!
He is a complete joy, not only to his family but to every one he meets. I honestly believe that one of his missions in this life is to bring joy to those around him, and he is already very successful. We are so blessed to have Jordan in our family!

Jordan's birthday party

Jordan had a lot of fun opening his presents. His friends were very generous. It was fun to watch him because he knew what to do this time and was really excited about it. After he opened each present he said, "Wow!" He got a bunch of toys and a table to play at!

These brothers love each other!
The other day Mike caught this: (Jordan brought all these toys by Evan so he could play too)

Jordan brought toys over to Evan again:

I had such a hard time getting Jordan to go down for a nap yesterday because he kept saying, "No! Baby, baby!" He wanted to play with Evan:

Here is a video of them laughing at each other:
Seriously, can he be any cuter?
Jordan is amazing. He does the cutest things and is so smart!
Here is a video of Jordan calling Jazz, a character from the Doodlebops. He came up with this on his own!
Here is a definite contender for my favorite word Jordan says:

Boy oh boy
I tried again to get a good picture of the boys. Oh well, a girl can try!

I made a vinaigrette coleslaw the other night with dinner and, as you can tell, Jordan enjoyed it. It was so funny to watch him trying to suck as much as he could out of the bowl!

Here is my sweet Evan laughing. He is so cute!
A morning in the mountains

Here we are starting up the trail:

Jordan kept wanting to go down into the dry river bed when there were dropoffs. Here he is trying to push Mike towards one!

Our little sunbeam
Jordan will be 2 in three weeks...and it shows. All those stereotypical things that I thought wouldn't happen are happening. But, he still has those moments of extreme cuteness! Here are some of his latest cute things.
His new obsession at dinner is the pepper grinder. He "twists" it and then sprinkles it on his food, takes a bite and repeats. So, he isn't really getting anything but he eats his dinner!
Jordan likes singing. I try to sing with him every day. This is the song he knows the best - isn't it cute?!

Church
We have been waiting and waiting for the day when Jordan would be happy in nursery by himself. But, for the past 5+ months we have been taking turns in nursery with him. Well, he has been doing better and better and really looks forward to it when we tell him we are going to church. Unfortunately, this has a negative affect on his ability to make it through sacrament meeting.
Here is the scene. As soon as we got to church, we decided to sit in the overflow area just behind the chapel because Jordan has a tendency to get loud. We were on the side and there was no one behind us. We are on the left side, the opposite side of where they get the sacrament ready.
Right as we sit down, Jordan starts asking for his fruit snacks (in case you don't know, Jordan has a slight...okay, big...obsession with fruit snacks). Maybe we are bad parents, but we give him snacks to get through sacrament meeting. So, we gave him his fruit snacks and he was happy. Church starts and he has a hymn book open and starts trying to "sing" with us for the opening song. It was really cute. After every song now he shouts, "pray!" and then shouts "mamen" after the prayer (we are still working on the concept of quite voice at church...) He then starts saying "ry, ry!" which means nursery and tries to get out the door. Before now we could usually let him go a little bit and then catch him, but he is fast now. So, we were making mad dashes after Jordan for a while. Well, we get to the sacrament and as soon as the young men start passing the bread, Jordan realizes what is going on. He starts saying loudly, "red, red!" for bread and literally started chasing after the nearest boy he could find. So, I chase after him, wrangle him in the seat trying to convince him that they will come to us. They did, and I'm pretty sure he ended up with more than one piece of bread in his mouth. Next, the water. He was calling for water before the bread was even done! I wrestled him until the water came. He did a really good job of drinking it himself. Then, after he finished it he started asking for more. So we gave him his sippy cup. It was around this time that he accidentally dropped his cup into the row behind us and thought it would be fun to keep doing it. All this time Mike is holding Evan and I am trying to deal with Jordan. So, Mike picked up Jordan's cup and kept it and the two of us were trying to get Jordan back into our row. Somewhere in the middle of this I looked over and saw Evan desperately trying to get his mouth on Jordan's cup. At this point Mike and I can't stop laughing. We had to stop looking at each other so we could stop. Mind you, we are only past the sacrament part of the meeting. (In case you are wondering, we had a bag full of toys, books, coloring materials, and snacks that we were unsuccessful at distracting him with.)
After the sacrament Jordan redoubled his efforts to get to nursery. While we were trying to switch kids, Jordan made a run for the front of the chapel. So, I grabbed Evan and Mike took off after Jordan, who made it to the stairs onto the stand. Well, since it was fast and testimony meeting, Mike decided that since he was already on the stand he might as well speak. So, the rest of the meeting was more of all that.
After sacrament meeting, Mike took Jordan to nursery and left. Sounds unimportant, but we have never been able to just leave him! It was nice to be able to go to Sunday School together. We both got to leave at the same time too because our boys had syncronized dirty diapers. The best part of the day was that I got to sit through Relief Society! I honestly don't know the last time I got to do that.
All in all, it was a busy day at church...and I thought Sunday was a day of rest!
Nope, can't do a post without a picture. So, here's a picture:
