Sacrilege?

So, we went to the temple today with my mom (who is visiting for the weekend!!!) and we remembered a funny story. Sometimes we go up to the temple and walk around after dinner on Sundays to kill time before bed time. Last time we went Jordan noticed the statue of Moroni. He got really excited and yelled "monkey!"

Uncle Jeff

We went to Utah last week for Mike's brother Jeff's mission farewell. He will be leaving next week for his mission in Chile. It was so good to spend time with him. He is a great uncle to the boys and they love him. Evan was so attached to me and Mike, but he would go to Jeff and was happy with him too. We are going to miss him these next two years, but are so excited for him and the experiences he will have and the people he will touch. Good luck Jeff!

Family photo

While we were in Utah this past week, we went to Kiddie Kandids to do a family picture with Mike's family. Well, it didn't go so well - our photographer wasn't very helpful and just took two pictures and said she thought they were cute and was done. They weren't - in the only pictures of our family Evan was crying! When the manager found out she said we could come back and we would get a free portrait. They were really patient with us the second time and we are happy with what we got!

What a fun day!

One of Jordan's friends had a birthday party today at a bouncy place. Jordan had so much fun going down the big bouncy slides:

Jordan loves the Bon Jovi song "Livin' on a Prayer". He sings along with the chorus now the best he can. Here is on the drive to the party:

The difference a year and a half makes

I caught Evan doing this tonight. Now, why is it when we catch Jordan doing this we get frustrated, but when Evan does it we laugh and grab a camera - it must be that extra year and a half!

Swim time

So, we got a pool for Jordan (actually it is his birthday present from his Grandma and Grandpa Haderlie) and we tried it out today.

At first Evan started crying because he didn't like the water and so our little mimicker Jordan had to start crying and pointing to go inside:

Then we got Jordan to start splashing and he loved it:

Mike and Jordan had a good time in the pool today. They splashed, got the rocks wet and made it "rain" by throwing water in the air. Jordan loved it! We had to make him come in even though he was cold and shivering at the end (we actually had a cloudy day!)

Our newest niece!

Hannah Kaye Hekking was born on Wednesday - isn't she cute?!

more pictures...

So, you know how I was saying that we couldn't get Jordan to take a picture? Well, now that he knows about the red pictures (the timer ones) he wants us to take his picture. So, here we are taking a "red pic" as he says.

Mike was driving Evan around on our bus toy tonight and Jordan joined in the fun...these boys are so cute!
