A morning in the mountains

We decided to head up to Mt. Charleston this morning to do a little hiking...as much as we could with a toddler that refuses to be held! It was really pretty up there, it was hard to believe that we were just outside of Las Vegas. We all had a good time.

Here we are starting up the trail:

Evan was having fun too. He was cooing and making happy noises the whole time!
Jordan had a lot of fun and did really well. He wanted to run off and look at things but also held our hands, which was nice:

Here is a happy Mike, up in the mountains with his two boys.

Jordan kept wanting to go down into the dry river bed when there were dropoffs. Here he is trying to push Mike towards one!
After we finished the hike, we could tell Jordan was tired. He likes to get up into our van himself, but he was having such a hard time. It was really cute because he was still so excited about it all, but he was worn out.

Mike, I must say you look good with a kid straped to your chest. Now that last lesson you must learn as a dad (since you've alreadly learned how to be the pack mule) is to spew out money. Good Dad = Money spewing pack mule. =)
