We have had a couple of crazy weeks here. I guess we should start with the biggest event - we found out that Mike got an internship... in Lawrence, Kansas. So, we are moving this summer. He will be working at the counseling center at KU and he is excited for the experience.
The boys took turns being sick for over a week now. We have spent a lot of days at home in our pajamas. It actually hasn't been too bad and we've had some good times.
Mike grilled tonight and the boys went out in the backyard with him. I guess Jordan noticed how quickly the weeds have grown back there (we've actually been getting rain here!) and he requested a bag so that he could pick weeds. So, the boys ran around the backyard weeding for us!
We decided that we should try to transition the boys into one room now before the baby and move come, so tonight we reorganized their room. When we first moved Evan's bed out of his room, Evan stood where it used to be and kept saying, "my room broken, my room broken."
Here is a video of them laughing together when they went to bed. They really did this for a long time. (It is just dark because I am hiding outside their room.)
After almost two hours of laughing and playing and talking, they finally fell asleep! Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon and they will fall asleep faster!
The boys are so funny and growing so fast. Jordan is getting so big and I just can't believe it or I just forget how much he knows and can do. The other morning he woke up (early as usual) and Mike brought him downstairs and set him up with juice and a cartoon. Then he told Mike he could go back upstairs and rest. What a cutie.
Evan is so hilarious. He seems so serious to people because he is really shy around others, but he is so silly and crazy. The other day he came up to me and kept saying "waffle". I wasn't sure if that was what he was really saying because it made no sense. So finally I repeated it and he started laughing hysterically. He is so funny. The other day he was crying about something and he said his eye was broken because tears were coming out.
